My 2007 Chrysler Aspen started displaying the GASCAP message over the Odometer -- so completely against my usual habits, I decided to look it up in the Owner's Manual.
I took the gas cap off and re-installed it and hit the Odometer Button and it cleared momentarily. I tried filling the tank up, but same problem.
As the Owner's Manual promised the check engine light came on after a few resets. I purchased a new gas cap, but same problem. I don't know what the code is being generated.
The vehicle is running fine and before I took it back to the dealer, I thought you might have a suggestion.
