Chrysler 5th Ave Black Smoke out of Tail pipe

I have a 1990 Chrysler 5th Ave-New Yorker and about 2 months ago it started to blow black smoke out of the tail pipe and blow chunks of black stuff. When I am driving down the road and it seems to bog down, I step on the gas and all this crap comes out and the car runs fine...at least for about 10 to 15 minutes. I am unsure as to what this could be. I bought the car at an auction for $650.00 in March 2007.

Car info:
1990 Chrysler 5th Ave-New Yorker (Rust free I might add)
Unknown Mileage (Speedometer broken, says 180777, but thats what it said in March when I bought it)
Automatic Trans
2 wheel drive
V6
3 point something, lol
no strange sounds
no fluid leaks

PLEASE RESPOND QUICKLY...I AM ON MY LAST NERVE WITH THIS CAR AND I DON'T WANT TO HAVE TO GET RID OF IT BECAUSE I CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHAT'S WRONG WITH IT!!!! PLEASE!!!!

The car is running extremely rich, Is there a check engine light on? Pull the codes, this can be done by turning you key from off to on 5 times without starting it, on the last turn, go to on position and count the flashes of the MIL! My money is on the temp and 02 sensors....

No check engine light is coming on. I understand that the car is getting to much gas to it, but HOW....ugh...I'm just gonna start walking every wheres

First of all Is it fuel injected, and did you read my first post? I told you how to check for codes without any tools, I told you what I thought the problem could be...Have you checked yet? Pretty quick reply....

Unfortunately, I do not have the car here with me. I am in New York and my husband has the car all the way in Pennsylvania...So I cannot check it until he gets back from PA...If he makes it back. :shock:
