1992 Chrysler 5th Avenue brake fluid leak

My rear wheel is leaking brake fluid. Before I noticed it I hit a pothole a couple of days earlier and my car started making a grinding noise near the rear wheel in question. What could be the cause of the leak, can it be easily fixed by me, and most important, will it be expensive (LOL). Thanks for any help you can give me

Hi:
It sounds like you broke a brake hose or something has caused the wheel cylender to leak.

You will need to remove the wheel and then the brake drum to determine if it's the wheel cylender. You can identify the wheel cylender easily. It will be a cylendrical item that the top of the brake shoes touch. From behind the backing plate, you will see a steel brake line going to it.

Once you determine where the leak is, let me know and I'll explain what to do next. If you are at all mechanically inclined, you should be able to replace it. Also, if it's only the wheel cylender, the part should be under 20 dollars.
