I need to know why i smell an odor of gas through my car heating vents? just recently started smelling the odor.

It sounds like you may have a fuel line leaking under the hood. This is something that could cause a fire, so I recommend you have it checked. You can try yourself if From the throttle body, start following the fuel line. Check for fuel or evidence of a leak.
