Cruise Control

I have a 1999 Chrysler 300M 3.5L V6 93k miles

When I turn on the cruise control the green cruise light comes on in the dash but when I try to set the cruise nothing happens no matter what I do the cruise won't set and after about 30 seconds the cruise light will go off and I can't turn it back on unless I turn the car off and restart it. Either way the cruise will turn on but it won't set. Please help. Thanks.....

Im pretty sure that is a cable operated system.Pop rthe hood and be sure everything is hooked up and plugged in properly.This might require some electrical diagnosis, so check all fuses first. PM me back

Well I checked all of the fuses and plugs and everything turned out OK, but the cruise control still doesn't work. I don't know what to do. Someone mentioned a brake switch but gave no details. I don't know what it could be. Please help....

Then go to "Accessories and Equipment" in there you will find the cruise control all wiring diagrams and a trouble tree to follow for your exact symptoms.
You can test the brake switch
pedal depressed- continuity between terminals 1 & 2
Pedal up- continuity between terminals 5 & 6
