I have a 2000 Chrysler 300 m. I lost the key. Called a locksmith and he came to the car and made a key. It has a transponer in it. So I called Chrysler and got the codes for the key and the programming of the new key was successful. But now my car won't start. We have disconnected the battery several times and tried to reset the computer, but no luck. Does anyone know about how to unlock the computer or what might be called the immobilizer(spelling??) on the computer.

Hey heiterd,
If its installed with an immobilizer:
1. Is there a "security light" on or flashing continuously?

2. If not I recommend calling Chrysler back for the reset procedure.

3. If it is you may need to leave the key on (don't try to start it) for 5+ minutes to clear it. Additionally, you also may need to hook up a battery charger to keep the battery from going low during this time. Then turn the key off and try to start the vehicle.

4. If it won't start, then I recommend it go to chrysler.
