After installing 22" wheels on my car at 45 miles a hour the steering starts to shake. I had the balanace on the wheel checked two time and installed hub rings to fill the gap about .6mm, I had 17" wheels on it before this and never felt this problem. I was told that the inner tie rods are bad or the wheel bearings how can I find the problem without replacing parts that I don't need?

If it only happens above 45, I'd still think it was a balance problem first, a tire problem second. (All brands aren't created equal)

Before spending a lot of money, put the 17's back on. If your problem disappears, then you know it's the wheel/tire combo.

If the problem persists, then you have a warped rotor, bad hub, or axle shaft/CV joint.
