2006 Chrysler 300 delayed start

When I turn the ignition key, nothing happens for about one second, then it starts normally. This just began happening yesterday, was normal immediate start before. is this signaling something to get worse?

I would check the starter relay. It may be sticking and not engaging as should. If the car has a warranty then use that first if not and you need help checking it out then get back to me and we will go from there.
