While driving about 60-65 my 300M will unexpectedly die; no sputtering, hesitation, or warning. All electrical still functions (lights, AC, radio, horn, etc). After a short period, it will start right up like there was nothng wrong. At first when this happened, I could not even get the starter to crank - nothing- no sounds no clicks - nothing, until it just suddenly starts. Today it occurred again (3rd time) and it did the same thing, but when I got stopped on the side of the road, I could crank the starter/engine, but it would not start. It took about 5 minutes of letting it sit, and then it miraculously started right up and I drove 15 miles to work. This has happened at roughly the same point on the highway during my morning commute (within a mile or so of the same spot every time). No check engine light, no indication that anything is amis until it just dies.

after it stalls and you try to start does check engine light stay on as you are cranking it should if not suspect a bad crank sensor
if it does check ASD relay and check fuel pressure and wiring
check battery terminals
