Chirping noise tight wheel area when driving

This sounds like something is dragging on the rotor. Does the noise get faster as you speed up or does it always stay at the same consistency?

Can you get a recording of the noise and post it because I am sure I can identify it if I hear it. Thanks

Same consistency but sometimes stops on certain pavement, when speeding up it stopped

Doesn’t chirp when you first start driving maybe after car warms up doesn’t always chirp on smoother pavement

Ok. This would be considered a whistle or high pitch ringing and not a chirp. Sorry to get technical on the terms but a chirp is like a repetitive bird chirp.

Here is a TSB that addresses this type of noise in earlier models. Keep in mind, this TSB may not be EXACT to what your issue is but more than likely you have a line or tube under the hood that has a cut in it that when air is rushing past it makes a whistle. More than likely when you get off the accelerator it goes away. If this is the case, then I am sure this is the issue so it is just a matter of finding it. There is no easy way to do this over then inspecting them closely.

Thank you, I read the attachments but the noise is not coming from the engine. I think its the bearings. The noise is coming from the left rear tire area.

Oh yes. That changes things. Sorry I missed that. It does sound like a bearing or an air leak but wheel bearings will normally grind more than whistle. However try swerving back and forth when it makes the noise. This will load and unload the weight on that side and if the noise changes then it is a wheel bearing. If not it could be a bearing in the rear end.

The fact that it goes away when you press the brakes make me thing it is related to the wheel area but because it is a constant noise and does not increase when going faster goes against that.

Let me know what happens and we can go from there.
