Chime noises not working?

Hello, the Radio sends out the chime sound out of the Left Speaker, so is the radio working at all? Or is it not powering up?

This is the service info for a "Chime Malfunction". But to begin with I would go through with a test light and check every fuse in the vehicle. Engine compartment fuse box and the one under the dash with the key On, see if you have a blown fuse.
Was the battery disconnected when doing the Alternator replacement?
