Absolute TDC needed

Hi, I'm getting ready to replace the intake, carburetor, and distributor on my car. I've pulled the number 1 spark plug and felt the pressure of the piston coming back up, I then used a straw to bring it to what felt like its highest point I don't think I need absolute TDC, but I just want to make sure I don't mess up the timing installing all this new stuff. The timing tab is at the top center of the balancer with a tube thing to the right. The line on the balancer is slightly passed the tab right now. I will add pictures to give a clearer idea, I just want to make sure that I have TDC to install the distributor correctly.

I also have a piston stop, but I've never used one and I don't know how far in the stop needs to go.

I attached the procedure and the firing order in case you mess up the wires to the plugs.

It sounds like you are good for the top dead center.
