I have a 2001 Venture Van with 140K miles. In the last 3-4 months it has been shifting hard once the transmission gets warm. On the interstate it has a whine in it. Looking at the fluid, it is "foamy" suggesting it may be getting some air in it. So my questions are 1) what is causing this? and 2) Is their a solution for this short of a new transmission.
