are you talking about the radiator fan? what sending unit are you talking about? there is no sender on the fan.

i think it might be a sensor and how many temp sending units are on a chevey venture 03

which sender did you unplug? you know the fan is only supposed to come on with the ac or the cooling system temperature reaches 228. what exactly is your problem. elaborate as much as possible. thanks

i had no heat we fixed that prob but when my heat went out there was fluid leaking and my fan stoped working and my van started to over heat we were told to replace a sensor but that did'nt work but when you unplug the sensor my fan works when you plug it back in it starts to over heat oh the plug is up by the where you put in the thermastat

UNFORTUNATELY YOUR AT THE POINT WHERE YOU NEED TO HOOK UP A SCAN TOOL AND LOOK AT THE VALUES AND SEE WHAT THE COMPUTER IS READING. DOES IT OVERHEAT IF YOU LEAVE THE FAN ON?

no if the fan is on it don't over heat

WELL IF YOUR COOLANT TEMP SENSOR IS GOOD AND IT DOESNT OVERHEAT WITH FAN ON. IF YOUR RADIATOR CAP DOES NOT HOLD PRESSURE YOUR CAR WILL OVERHEAT AT 212 DEGREES, BEFORE THE FAN IS TRIGGERED. TRY A RADIATOR CAP. THE REASON IS WHEN YOU PRESSURIZE YOUR COOLING SYSTEM IT RAISES THE BOILING POINT 3 DEGREES FOR EVERY POUND OF PRESSURE YOU PUT ON THE SYSTEM. I HOPE THIS MAKES SENSE.
