1997 Chevy Venture 6 cyl Automatic
What's the name of this part? It's approx 1/2" diameter hard plastic "hose" that goes into the top of the mass air flow sensor assembly; coming from somewhere in the back of the engine. You have to disconnect this hose to take out the MAF.
What causes the MAF to become dirty? I clean mine about once a month, rather than replacing it. What's to say a new one won't get dirty & cause the same problem (engine stutter)?
