1990 Chevy Van Runninh hot and No hot air

What temp t-stat did you use? should be a 195.Are both heater hoses getting hot?If so, check under the dash for the blend door operation, may be stuck over to cold air

The thermostat is a brand new 195.
The both hoses or only mildly warm going into the heater core.
I will try to figure out how ot get into the dash as their is NO glove box. and look for the door.

Are you sure water can flow though the heater core?

We tok both hoses off the heater core and flushed water thru. it went thru easily in both directions. The vacuum switch appears to be working, so I would believe that water is getting to the heater core when everything is hooked up. I have the line for the door. It is moving and I can hear the door in the heater core openning and closing. But have not taken the dash off. This is a solid one piece dash so was hoping to save that as a last resort. But it is looking more and more like the heatr core itself might be bad. I have not water leaks or at least none that are coming thru the dash to the floor or thru the vents that I can see at all.

Is the van running at normal temp? I would be sure the heater control valve is working properly before ripping the dash out

The van is running at normal temp just as before. I did ut in a new Themrostat as according to the guage it was running just a little hot. I just dorve it about 15 miles and all was good. Just no heat.
Now what do you mean the heater control valve?
is that the vacuum switch at the hoses? Or the control at the heater core?

It is the vacuum operated valve inline on the heater hose
