I INSTALLED A NEW FUEL PUMP, WITHOUT DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY CABLE. NOW, THE FUEL PUMP DOES NOT WORK. WHAT IS THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM, AND HOW DO I SOLVE IT?

When you turn key on do you hear the fuel pump come on? If not check the fuel pump fuse and fuel pump relay. If so check the fuel pressure if its within specs even though its new might be coming on but not producing pressure.

Solve it by first troubleshooting the problem. unplug the pump and verify you have voltage at the wires. It is possible you got a new pump that was bad. Happens all the time.

more then one? if more then one fails it is time to start looking as to why? what part is failing? is it the motor winding? the wires where it plugs in? Further testing should reveal the problem area.

Check and test the fuel pump relay it powers the fuel pump for 2 secs then deactivates, when engine fires up the fuel pump/oil pressure sending unit powers the pump constantly-could be a voltage drop problem also check the ground side of the fuel pump
