Engine Performance problem
1986 Chevy Van 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic
My 86 chevy van has a 4.3 motor with a quadrajet carb. Not injected. When I start it up it runs ritch like it is on choke, it idles up and down and I have to raise the idle to keep it running. I have put new tune up parts in it. When I turn the electric choke it is like I can't open the butterfly all the way or it will stall. When I first start it up and go down the street it will load up with rich smell in exhaust to where I have to pull over and blow it out. Once I give it gass and blow it out it will run ok. Whould the carb be my problem or am I missing some type of sensor to replace?
