What does a brake booster have to do with power steering repair. We have a 1999 Chevy 2500 which has been in the repair shop for 5 days and they keep telling us it does not work. It has a 450 eng. Mileage gets about 15 miles to gal.

It had a power steering leak. They installed a new pump and hoses with filters and now is wanting to put a brake booster on which will add to the cost and I just don't understand what brake booster has to do with power steering leak.

Can you help. This has already cost us about $800.

Thank you for your help.

the brake booster has absolutaly nothing to do with the power steering. It should also not cost anywhere close to 800 to replace the p/s pump and hoses, time to take it elsewhere.
