OK, the generator light come on in my '71 C10.I changed the alternator,belt,and put a hot battery in and the light comes on until I get the RPMs up and it goes off until I either shut the engine off or if I put it in gear and roll a little forward or reverse.It has an external regulator.Could this be the problem all along and if it is,how can I check?
