Im in desperate need of an answer.I have a 1997 2500 4x4 and when I brake I get an extreme shimmy in the front tires and of course steering wheel.I have changed the idler arm, pittman arm, center link, rotors and break pads and nothing.Any ideas where I should go next?At the rate Im going Im going to end up rebuilding my entire suspension.

Sounds to me, Youre strut mount bushing could be wornout, Also could have a bad wheel bearing acting up, Rear brake shoes are not adjust properly, Or wornout, Do you get any wheel hop or shakyness, from 65mph and up?. Ball joints could be worn.

I really dont know about the high speed performance because it is to bad to try to drive at high speeds. Not sure about rear brakes but I can say they stick/grab after alot of rain. But I'll check the things you mentioned above and thanks for the help.
