91 chevy transmission

I am replacing the transmission bearings on my 91 1/2 truck. The old race for the counter shaft bearing is very snuggly fit in the housing, and I am finding it difficult to remove it. Any suggestions?

Front or rear race?

Make sure you are driving out the proper way. Into the case I think. Use a piece of pipe the size of the race.
