abs light on?

With ABS the best thing to do to get at your starting point, is to scan for codes, This will pinpoint the trouble part. Then armed with the code(s) you can test sensors and wiring to them...It sounds like you may have a wheel speed sensor that is out. These videos will help us find the problem.

The Abs light recently came on, service light, and the traction off light also. The brakes themselves work fine, but these lights just stay on. At first I was able to stop the car, shut it off and then restart it and the lights would not come on for awhile, now they stay on. What could be my problem?

With the warning lights on, I'd take it up to an autozone(free light check) and have them put it on their OBD II tester to get the codes. Simply too many possibilities to guess

I recently had the same problem. I took it to a garage to scan it and it showed up as the left rear wheel speed sensor. I then took my multi-meter and check the sensor. It should have about 1000-ohms across the terminals and about 200mV across the terminals as you spin the wheel as fast as you can by hand.

The part (sensor is built into the hub/bearing) is about $110 and you spimple take the wheel and brake drum off, undo the four bolts and replace in reverse. Took me about 45-60 mins.

when depressing pedal air is heard and i do not have any brakes. fluid is full and abs light is on, i replaced fuse but keeps blowing.

You need to scan for "C" codes, with a GM compatable scanner, generic scanner wont read the "C" codes. Having the code saves you the time and expense of replacing only the bad part. Actron now has an ABS scantool that reads ABS codes on most domestic cars and light trucks, Google Actron CP9449 I paid 114.00 fort mine, great little tool and time saver!
