Recently had a radiator flush performed, replaced cap as well. Temperature gauge shows temp around 235-245 within minutes of the engine starting. With and without AC running. Never had problems before. Could it be the thermostat?

Does the temp stop at 235-245, or does it keep climbing? Usually if a thermostat sticks closed, it will just keep getting hotter. They are cheap and easy to change. I would suggest replacing it, and seeing if that fixes the problem. If not, I would check the fan clutch next to see if it is locking up when the temp increases. And lastly, I would check the water pump for proper flow.
