I'm having some electrical trouble.....they are really more of an annoyance than trouble, but I really prefer my vehicles to operate properly.

I have an aftermarket keyless entry installed by factory/service center when new. It used to work just fine, now it will only work with the parking brake set. The daytime running lamps have also quit working....most of the time. They will work if the parking brake is set, and will continue to work for less than a minute after starting the car and disengaging the parking brake. The automatic headlights come on after the DRL click off automatically. My door locks also seem to have a mind of their own. They will cycle when the brake is applied for the first few minutes of driving, then it will be intermittent after that.

The interior lights will also come on randomly, and would only go off if emergency brake was applied, or lightly applied(not even to first click). this has gone away, but still aggravating.

I also have a couple radio buttons that are no longer lit.

I have no idea where to begin....please help.

thanks

My experience with radio lights is that the radio itself is the problem. The other problems would be separate I would expect. I had a cycling door lock problem a little bit ago, if I find anything, I'' update you.

The door cycling problem was a gm and had found the wiring harness under the battery corroded. Different body style however.

Thanks for the info......

I think i have a much more pressing issue, though. Actually two issues

#1) My low coolant light came on recently, and I thought nothing of it added the appropriate type and went on.....During a recent oil change (tonight) I noticed coolant has been leaking from somewhere and it has tracked over the oil pan and transmission pan. It seems to only happen while driving as there is no noticeable 'spot' under the car. Are there any common causes for this on these cars???

#2)I have noticed a dull humm coming from the driver's front side at speed over 65. I'm looking for a bit of info so I can prepare myself for what I'm getting into for repairs.

thanks

The second problem sounds like a wheel bearing or choppy tire. Does the noise change if you vear to the left or right?

What size engine?

Go to your accumulator for your A/C, There is a engine wiring harness that may be chafing and wearing through causing you electrical nightmares
