i have a 99 2500 and the transfer case is burnt up, and i was thinking about pulling it out myself and bringing it in to be rebuilt is this a hard task to do?[/quote:5bed9176f3]removing the transfer case inst to bad if ur mecincaly inclined u must remove the transmission with trnsfer case attaced then seperat them on the ground uslally there pretty easy to do there about 6 or 8 bolts that hold it to gether u will need a new gasket to reseal it.. unless u know what ur doing i would try and rebuild it your self but u can take it out
