The courtesy light in my suburban started going on and off about 2 months ago as if the door was not shut all the way when in fact they were all shut properly. It has since become non-stop unless I press the dome over-ride button which also does not take at first. I checked the fuse and it is fine. I appreciate any help you can give me .-Pat(1999 Chevy Suburban K1500 4X4 70,000 miles

It could be that one of the door light buttons are faulty or loose. I would check all of them by keeping all doors closed and then pressing each one individually.

I had the same poblem with my 1999 Suburban. If you open the back cargo doors you will notice on the inside top on te hinge side 4 pegs on the right side and 2 on the left. Take a piece of sand paper and clean these off so they make a good connection. You will notice they are a little corroded and won't take much effort.
I hope this fixes your problem because it fixed mine.
