The fuel pump was replaced about 15000 miles ago. My question involves stalling when the truck is cold . I will start the truck and it idles fine. When I put it in gear and move 100' to 500' it dies. It will restart but acts like it isn't getting fuel, so I have to keep my foot on the gas for about a minute until it warms up a bit .After the first minute or so it will run great. The one thing that has me puzzled is that when it dies the clock on the radio has to be reset, like the electical system is shutting it down. Do you have any idea what may be causing this.

Wow, I was going to look into your cold dile circuit, but if you loose power when this happens, I doubt it is in the control. This only does it when it is cold? or after the first start when the truck has not been run.
I would look at your battery negative cable. Check to make sure it is not corrodded inside the cable and that it has a good clean connection. Also check your engine to body grounds.
Looks like grounds G103 and G104 both on the engine are grounds for the fuel pumps and part of the interior instrument cluster. Maybe a ground is the problem.

The problem occured when the truck had not been run for a while. I removed and cleaned both the positive and negative battery cables. The positive cable was a little loose and had some corrosion but cleaned up easily. I only found one ground with 2 cables bolted to it on the pass. front side of the motor. It was a little loose so I took them off and degreased them then cleaned them with a wire brush and reinstalled them.
I am still having a problem with the needle on my fuel gauge. It vibrates back and forth very quickly . Could this be another ground issue? Where should I look? Thank you for sharing your knowledge and helping me out, Scot
