1998 Chevrolet Cavailer, headlights wont turn on

1998 chevrolet cavailer, 2.2, 139,000 miles:
when i turn on the switch on the headlights turn on but the parking lights come on, the only part of the headlight that comes on are the drl's. i have played with the wires thinking it was a loose connection, but that has ceased to work. is it time for a new switch assembly?

do you have a test light??? check the fuses and the drl relay in the fuse panel under the dash , if all check out ok , there is a blue wire goes into the switch you cna check for power and are the bulbs know to be good?????

i have checked the fuses and i know the bulbs work because they work when i pull the brights back.....

probably going to be the switch then , i would really check the drl relay located in the same spot , if there is another one that looks the same swap them out and retry if all is good replace the switch
