Hi,
I have the pickup described and am trying to set up trailer brakes. I bought it used and the seller didn't know much about it. I want to put a trailer brake control on it, but can't find the socket to plug in the wire harness under the dash. The more I look, the more I think there was a factor trailer brake hook up installed. There is a Kelsey-Hayes box in front of the master cylinder and there is a red and blue wire (about 12ga) taped up to the trailer light harness. When I hook a voltmeter up to the red wire and ground and step on the brake I get a minimal voltage. My reading up on K-H brake controllers tells me that the controller is inertial-proportional so it has to be in motion to apply voltage. Is there a way I can sort this out? I'd love to take the brake controller back to the parts store. Suggestions???
Thanks
Clay
