1994 Chevy Truck brake lites not working with new booster a

I just installed a new master cylinder, power booster and brake lite switch, lites do not work.
fuse is good .
bulbs work.
switch works when not installed on rod to booster, using a screw driver to simulate the rod.
installed on the rod and clipped to the pedal switch doesnot activate
