1990 Chevy Truck steering locks up

When I turn my wheel all the way to the left it locks up and will not return,if I turn all the way to the right it's works fine.There is a new tie rod assembly on the right side and I cannot find anything broken or bent.It seems like it "hyper-extends".Could this be a steering box problem?Thank-you

it could be a steering problem but if the tie rod was replaced and the front end wasn't aligned, then that may be your problem . But it could be a steering box problem as well. have it checked out.....
