Recently, on my 1990 chevy 454 the A/C Compressor brackets have broken off and slightly chipped the block. I know how to fix it, but I need to get it to my shop. Is there any way to run the truck without the compressor? What kind of belt would I have to buy for this?

Well there is no belt to be purchased to bypass the a/c. See if the truck don't have a/c then they use a bypass pulley in it place so that the belt and routing don't change and in order to keep the water pump running the right direction there is no way to bypass it. I am sorry but it will be towing it in.
