1988 Chevy Truck Overdrive Transmission

Truck will not pull in overdrive from dead stand still. If you start in drive, then get to highway speed and shift into overdrive, it works fine. Thoughts?

honestly i dont think you should be pulling anything in overdrive , if thats waht you are ssaying . if your just saying that you cant take off ( without towing anything ) in selector is in overdrive , then the lockup convertor may be bad
