Hi, thanks for the donation. Can you tell if the latch in the door itself is turned down, if it is, it will just bounce off the catch stud, doorframe. Sometimes, you can take a screwdriver, if the catch in the door is down, and flip it up, to where there is a cavity for the stud to go into.

If it is someting more serious, you may have to remove door panel, inside, to try to find the problem.
