ok my starter was bad, when you turned the key you could hear the solenoid engage and that was it. i went to pull the starter out and forgot to unhook the battery so the was an arc across the terminals when i put the wrench on it. made me feel like an airhead and i unhooked the battery. got the new starter, put it in, and hooked the terminals back up. now i have no power to anything with the key in any position just no power at all. i hooked a 50 amp battery booster up to the battery terminals and still nothing. could i have blown some relay or something electrical when i touched it with the wrench? could i have damaged one of the wires to the starter, and if i did would that cut all power to the truck? i checked the battery terminals and cleaned them with a wire brush and tried to look at the wires to the starter and couldnt see anything that looked wrong. if it was a bad connection at the battery wouldnt it give power to the truck when i put the battery booster on the battery cables?
