Electrical problem
1976 Chevy Truck V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I believe the safety neutral switch is out in the truck so i had purchased a push button for the starter. with key on lights and everything work properly, now when i hook up the wires to the starter and to the push button. will it start or are there any hidden tricks. please help
