1970 Chevy Truck just replaced fuel pump but no fuel

1970 Chevy Truck V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a 70 chevy with a 307 in it and i just replaced th fuel pump but it still wont get gas. What could be the issue? I have already checked the fuel lines but they were good.

Hi, mechanical fuel pump? Is there a rod that operates the fuel pump arm, that rod isn't in a bind? When you had the fuel lines loose, you could blow air through the lines? With the supply line loose from the carb, no gas? If you take the line loose, aim into proper container. If the pump arm is operated by that rod, you may to check that the rod operates up and down?
