Engine Mechanical problem
1969 Chevy Truck V8 Two Wheel Drive Manual
i am in the middle of adjusting my valves for the first time since rebuild. the first time i set the no.1 it was at btc instead on tdc and i bent the push rods on no.1. yeah i know (idiot). well after i replaced the rods and set the lash i tighten 3\4 turn and the rocker arms are loose. side to side and i can even lift them off the valve. so i'm thinking i might have crushed a lifter after turn the crank 90 degrees and started to mess with no. 8 but stopped and i turn the crank back to tdc, checked the no.1 with a screw driver and readjusted the no.1 and found i bent the push rods. now like i said do think i might have crushed a lifter or bent the magnum roller tipped rocker arms?
