I am having a shimmy when I press on my brakes, I am told my rotors are bad and need replacing. Expensive? Yesterday my car would stall when I was applying my brakes when ready to park. I stopped off at Kragens and they told me it probably is my rotors or the brake vacuum pump going out. does that sound possible? Is there any risk in driving car for a little when the car is like this, what do you recommend? I am on a tight budget.....

you can buy new pads at autozone, oreillys etc. replace pads first and do it quick before grinding begins. this may solve vibration and power problem. if vibration continues, rotors need to be turned. if power problem persists, vacuum will need replacing.
