2004 Chevy Trailblazer Brake Lights

The two lower brake lights in the rear don't work, while the third, higher brake light does work. The bulbs are OK because they come on when I turn on the emergency flasher. I also changed fuse #34 in the fuse box under the rear seat and they still don't work.

Does anybody have any idea what might be wrong?

check the brake light switch, located under driver dash on brake pedal bracket. the high-mount brake lamp is on a different circuit then the brake switch.
