I have a 97 Blazer that has an antifreeze leak which is not coming from the radiator or hoses. It originally appeared like it was coming from behind the waterpump, so I replaced it and it still leaks (not from waterpump). It leaks even when the vehicle is not running. When I pour water/antifreeze in the radiator, it starts leaking below the motor, but I can't tell for sure were it is coming from since everything is so tight in the engine compartment. I checked the oil for water/antifreeze and do not see any, so I don't think it's the head gasket. Any suggestions would be appreciated. The Blazer has 140,000 miles and has been running great, it's just that this leak started.

thx...

You may want to look at the intake manifold gaskets and any of the small coolant hoses, there is a tool that you can buy that will pinpoint the leak, (Napa sells it). It has a UV light and dye that you poor into the coolant or oil to find the leak, it cost around 80-100 dollars but will pay for itself in the money saved by not having to take it to the shop. Good luck.

You might also want to inspect the freeze plugs.I believe there are two in the front of the engine. But it sounds like an intake manifold gasket.GM had some problems with keeping those CPI intakes sealed up
