1996 S-10 Blazer 4.3L Fuel Pressure Regulator Hose???

I'm replacing a bad fuel pressure regulator and the manual says there is suppose to be a hose attached to the FPR. When I removed the upper intake manifold, there was not a hose connected to the old FPR...am I missing something? There is a vacuum hose that connects to the top of the intake manifold, but no hose that connects directly to the FPR.

does the fpr mount to the intake or the fuel rail? if it mounts to the intake, it is the style that draws it's vacuum directly off of the intake where it mounts. also, did the fpr have an electrical connection, if so it is one that is computer controlled. whichever, make sure the replacement matches the old one exactly.

The FPR mounts to the fuel Rail, which sits under the intake manifold. The replacment is exactly like the original. I suspect the manual is wrong and that there is not suppose to be a hose connected to it. That the vaccum is obtained from the space inside the manifold. No electrical connection.

the manuals usually cover several years and models so that is most likely it.

Your right there's no line to hook on your regulator. It goes behind the fuel injector housing with the metal clip nothing else.
