how do i bleed a clutch system

Bleed from slave cylinder. Usually the clutch MC is higher than slave, if so, fill up MC and open clutch slave bleeder, If no fluid comes out, you may have a restriction in line, or leak.
You can also use a hand held vacuum pump on the slave bleeder screw to bleed system.
If you get a lot of dirty fluid out, then I would clean and flush the entire clutch system.
