1989 S-10 Blazer Vibration problem?

I own a 1989 S-10 Blazer 4x4 with about 180,000 miles and a 4.3L engine. When I drive down the road and reach about 40mph it starts to shave and when you speed up it starts making a roaring noise. if you slow down to about 10mph it goes away. was wondering if it could be the CV Axle? or would it be something else? Plus I already had the tires balanced.

First I would get that ford motor out and put in the 4.3 motor.

If it seems to feel as though it is coming from underneath you check the carrier bearing that the driveshaft goes into. Depending on the style I would also be suspicious of a joint that is loose.

There may be a bearing in one of the front wheels as another possiblity.

Was told it was the rear differential. Changed out entire rear end with same problem. Also replaced the CV axle. It's vibrating from passenger side and sounds like if you were to stick a coke can in a bicycle tire (roaring noise).

Note: No carrier bearring

Is there any abnormal tire wear?
In particular a chopped wear.
