Rattle sound when A/C is on

I have a 2003 Chevy Tahoe. Currrently has 55000 miles. When I run the A/C I hear a steady rattle. When I shut it off the rattle stops. What could be causing this and how would I fix it?

Is the rattle coming from the dash area (blower motor-will happen when the heat is also on) or from the engine compartment (probable bad a/c clutch)?
