I have a 2003 Chevy Tahoe, automatic transimission. Lately, when I have a 1/4 tank of gas or a little bit above, it tells me I have like 90 miles to go until I am empty, the check engine light comes on and then the truck begins to sputter and fail, like I am running out of gas. But keep in mind it just told me that I had over a 1/4 of a tank left. I think the sensor is bad (if that is what you call it). Have you heard of this problem before and if so, does it cost alot to replace?

Thanks!

[quote:0bf4a8356e="matthewmakes"]i'm just trying to replace the brake light of my 1998 ford explorer, but i can't get the light assembly open. i've looked all around the area for more screws to take off. i've wiggled and try to slide the assembly out in all different directions. i just don't understand how to get at it.[/quote:0bf4a8356e]
Did you open the tail gate and remove the screws on the side

erg... okay, i figured it out, but it's sortof unnerving. so i took off the screws and started yanking at the assembly, but the assembly is also held in place by some plastic snap screw things. they're pretty firm and make a sortof "i'm beaking" sound when you're pulling them out. but you just have to yank on it harder. usually when something i'm taking apart makes the "i'm breaking" sound, i figure i need to find another way to take it apart, but not so in this case.
