2007 Chevy Tahoe Four Wheel Drive Automatic 60000 miles

A few months ago, I had my front rotors machined because I was hearing a rumbling noise coming from the front when driving at low speeds.

Recently over the last few weeks, I'm now hearing a "tisk tisk tisk tisk" noise from the front with occasional squeals. It doesn't matter what speed I go, I hear the noise. When I brake, it goes away.

Yesterday, I started hearing a hissing noise with my foot on the brake when I put the truck in reverse after having it parked for a while.

Does this sound like a brake problem? Do I need new rotors/pads?

It sounds like whoever did your brake job didn't make sure the wear indicators where adjusted properly. They are a little metal tab that is supposed to be set to let you know when your pads are just about worn away. They make contact with the rotor and squeal, sqeek, hiss, grind, whatever people hear. I suspect that yours were left set too close to the rotors and are making contact. When you back up they catch a little and the noise might change a little. As far as the hissing with your foot on the brake in reverse, that sounds more like drive line or maybe a leaky booster. Hard one to figure without hearing it.
