2003 Chevy Tahoe Rear Hatch

I need some advice on my rear hatch for my 2003 Chevy Tahoe. The latch broke and a new hatch costs over $1000 installed! I can purchase a 2006 Hatch for aro $300. Will this fit a 2003 and can an amateur install it?

We always recommend direct replacement parts. You need to call a salvage yard or dealer to determine if they are the same part number and will switch. It will need painted unless it's the same color.

As far as replacement, you should be able to do it.
