2003 Chevy Tahoe oil gauge reflects low oil

2003 Chevy Tahoe Two Wheel Drive Automatic

Had engine oil changed but oil gauge still reflects oil level as being in the red when the vehicle is warmed up and driving. Can you indicate a possible problem and solution. i.e., is the oil sending unit going bad or is bad?

Check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge if normal replace the oil pressure switch abnomal could mean oil pump and engine bearings
